Meant to feel like Kodak Portra 35mm film shot on a Leica camera with 50mm lens – these portraits have a very 1970s off-beat feel. Emulating the styles of Wes Anderson and Stanley Kubrick, these are framed either symmetrically or with the subject angled slightly. Most of the expressions are vacant and most of them are looking either out of frame or through the camera as if it weren’t there. The color palette is also muted and reminiscent of crushed velvet and corduroy. Some of them may also leave you smelling like cigarette smoke, so viewer beware.
